Long Distance Championship

Starting 1st of January and finishing 31st of December, this championship is for any first club member and in a nutshell the winner is the runner who clocks up the most racing miles in a calendar year. Race times, positions, age categories will have no bearing on the result. The table will be updated on a regular basis and posted to the clubs group chats.

Rules

  1. Race must take place between 1st of January & 31st of December.
  2. The race must have published results for verification. These can be road, trail, fell, multi terrain or track.
  3. parkruns don’t count as they are not a race.
  4. Running events ONLY, we don’t count any sort of triathlon (or any variation of run/bike/swim),
  5. This is open to first claim members, any member who leaves leaves the club before the end of the competition, their record is null and void
  6. At end of the year the top 3 will win a prize and the person who has raced the most miles will be crowned champion.
  7. Example if you race a half marathon, 13.1 miles will be added to your mileage, the chart is in KM.
  8. It is your responsibility to submit your results to the championship, you can submit by emailing contact@stocksbridgerc.co.uk

Results & Award Presentation

All race results must be submitted by the 10th January 2025, The we will then work out the winners and will reveal the winners at the clubs annual awards night. The winners will be presented with awards at the clubs annual awards night along with our annual club awards, certificate presentation.

  • 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall (no separate male or female categories)
