Three of our Stocksbridge Running Club ladies, Rachel Howard, Kate Fewkes and Nicola Heaton were in action on Sunday 17th November. All braved the drop in temperature to take part in the South Yorkshire Athletics Cross Country League. This was the 3rd of the 4 race series and a pretty local one for us at Penistone. The 6.5km multiple lap course was tough and provided a few ups and downs to test the legs. Rachel finished in 30:50 to get third in her age category, followed by Kate in 36:14 and Nicola in39:23. All finished with a smile and are looking forward to the next one of these fun and friendly local events!
