Stocksbridge Strength to Strength

Thursday night saw the clubs final winter handicap race. Out of the runners that qualified 14 took part. After storming up the final hill Heather Lindley became the series champion. Impressive running saw Nicola Heaton and Nicola Brown take runner up and 3rd position. Jonathan Page knocked off another 17 sec off the course record running 16:14 becoming the fastest male of the series. Fastest female was taken by Molly Hayes 19:35. The final race was followed by a social at Zorro were the winners were presented with their trophies.

Down at Hillsborough parkrun first back for the club was David Napier 2318, good to see him back from injury. Andy Gosling followed 25:15, Amy Hutchinson got a PB in 26:05, Colin Mansell 27:51 and Victoria Patterson 28-02. Over in Selby club founder Richard Hayes ran 18-06 and Molly Hayes 24:08.
On Sunday Heather Lindley donned her running shoes again and ran the Dewsbury 10k in 51:52 setting a new club F60 record.
