Club Identity

The club singlet (vest) is the most important visual element in our running world.

It helps supporters, officials and athletes identify Stocksbridge runners from across the road or muddy field. More than that though, pulling one on means a runner is ready to race, to fight for their teammates, to represent the club and all the history gone before us.

That’s why the Stocksbridge maroon and gold means so much.

The maroon can’t be red or purple. The gold can’t be yellow or orange.

Only official club kit can be worn, if it’s noT purchased direct from the club then it’s not official.

Kit

For club competitions/fixtures, it is compulsory that all athletes wear the maroon and gold. Until the 31st December all old colour kit can be worn. From the 1st January 2025 all previous versions of our kit will be retired from competitions. (parkrun does not count)

Tops
Singlets, technical shirts or crop tops in maroon with gold.

Bottoms
Split shorts, half tights or briefs in Maroon. Black may be used as a substitute where maroon is not available.

Stocksbridge alt kits (not maroon and gold) may not be worn for official club fixtures or competitions.

Club crest

Club rules state: The badge shall be the Stocksbridge Clock Tower with a female and male runner running across it. The county rose and year of formation is also to be included.

The tower and shield outline is borrowed from the towns Football Club logo, who in our first year helped get the club formed and off the ground. The tower is the town’s famous Clock Tower memorial.

Since 2023 it has appeared in a number of colour variations: within a circular badge and within a shield. In 2024 the new colours debuted and the addition of a female runner was added.
